Literacy Through Unity Week
Delta Phi Omega is ecstatic to announce CARE India as the 2016 Literacy Through Unity Week beneficiary. This year, we will be donating $8865.00 to the National beneficiary! Funds raised this year will be used to support CARE India's many wonderful projects, especially the ones that focus on improving girls' education in underprivileged households.
In our philanthropic efforts, we will hold our annual "Literacy Through Unity" week dedicated to raise awareness about children's education and literacy, as well as raise funds through a week of events in February/March at each chapter or colony at their respective universities and cities. Over the past years, we have been able to raise over $83,000. The funds we raise will be given to local charitable organizations affiliated with each corresponding chapter or colony, as well as to our national Literacy Through Unity Week beneficiary. |
