The National Asian Pacific Islander American Panhellenic Association (NAPA)NAPA is a collective group of leaders within the APIA community who work together to advocate, collaborate, and educate our members and constituency for the greater good. We represent our member organizations within the fraternal and university communities.
By setting the highest standards of membership, university administrations know that they have a partner in the success of our member organizations’ chapters. When issues arise affecting our community, we are able to mobilize and advocate as one strong, unified voice. Delta Phi Omega proudly joined NAPA on April 22, 2016. “NAPA is excited to welcome Delta Phi Omega and the value they will bring to the organization. With the addition of DPO, this year has been an unprecedented year of growth for NAPA and reinforces our commitment to the South Asian Greek community,” said Hannah Seoh, Chair of NAPA. “We look forward to the collaborations to come.” |
History |
NAPA began in the summer of 2004 when a group of 14 APIA fraternities and sororities joined together to form the APIA Greek Alliance (AGA). Formed as a partnership in a grassroots “Get Out the Vote” campaign with APIA Vote, an organization that promotes civic participation among Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, the members of the AGA registered over 8,000 new voters. Seeing the successful collaboration’s potential impact on the APIA community and on college/university campuses, the group collaborated on further projects, including Tsunami Relief and Hurricane Katrina Relief.
